Modeling Tropical Cyclones for Hazard Assessment
This article published in Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences (NHESS) discusses the development of a model aimed at assessing the hazards posed by tropical cyclones. The authors propose a statistical–parametric approach to simulate tropical cyclone activity, which can be instrumental in understanding and predicting the potential impacts of these storms. This model is particularly useful for hazard assessment and risk management in regions susceptible to tropical cyclones.
